Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

This policy explains what information Upside (run by Blue Chip Partners LLC) collects, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It covers coaches who run camps on Upside and parents or guardians who register campers.

Children

Upside is used by adults. We don't let children create accounts and we don't collect information directly from children. Information about campers is given to us by their parent or guardian when they register, and is used only to run that camp. A parent can ask to see, correct or delete their camper's information at any time (see "Your choices" below).

What we collect

  • Coaches: name, email, password (stored hashed), phone, program name and bio, logo and photos, camp details, and plan and billing status. Stripe holds your identity and bank details; we see only your Stripe account ID and whether payouts are on.
  • Parents: your name, email, phone, ZIP code, an emergency contact, your typed waiver signature with the time and your IP address (as a record of signing), and your payment status. Card details go straight to Stripe; we never see them.
  • Campers: name, date of birth, grade, school, shirt size, and any medical or allergy notes you choose to share with the coach, plus check-in status.
  • Usage: basic logs and cookies needed to keep you signed in and keep the service secure. We don't use advertising cookies or sell data to advertisers.

How we use it

  • To run registrations, waivers, payments, payouts, rosters and check-in for the camp you signed up for.
  • To send emails you'd expect: confirmations, receipts, password resets, and messages from your camp's coach.
  • To provide AI drafting features for coaches, and to let a coach's own connected AI assistant read and act on that coach's program.
  • To prevent fraud and abuse, fix problems, and meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

Who sees it

  • The coach running the camp sees the registration details for their camp, including medical notes, so they can care for your camper. Coaches agree to use this only to run their camps.
  • Service providers that run Upside for us: Stripe (payments and payouts), Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Resend (email) and Anthropic (AI drafting, only for text a coach asks it to draft). They may use the data only to provide their service to us.
  • If a coach connects their own AI assistant (such as Claude or ChatGPT), that assistant can see the coach's camps and rosters under the coach's account with that provider.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of campers, users or the public.
  • A buyer or successor, if Upside or Blue Chip Partners LLC is sold or merged, under this same policy.

We don't sell personal information.

How long we keep it

  • Free plan: a camp's parent and camper details are removed from the coach's dashboard 14 days after the camp ends.
  • Pro plan: details stay available to the coach while they're subscribed, so they can welcome back returning families.
  • We keep payment and waiver records as long as needed for tax, accounting and legal reasons, and delete or anonymize the rest when it's no longer needed.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, passwords are hashed, payment details stay with Stripe, and access to production data is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects you, we'll tell you as the law requires.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information, or your camper's, by emailing dj@bluechippartnersllc.net. Parents can also contact their camp's coach directly. Depending on where you live (for example California), you may have additional rights, and we won't treat you differently for using them. We may need to keep some records, such as payment and signed waiver records, where the law requires.

Changes

If we make significant changes we'll update the date above and, for coaches, send an email. Questions: dj@bluechippartnersllc.net.
